Filson Field Cruiser Jacket
This midweight version of Filson's iconic Cruiser is made for dry conditions. The 9.5-oz. cotton is modelled after the material used for vintage military fatigues. However, the double-layer back panel and pocket have been removed to lighten the garment for warmer weather. Snapped flaps protect the four front cargo pockets, and a slotted utility pocket is layered on the left chest. The front and adjustable cuffs are secured with durable buttons.
The Cruiser design, patented in 1914, is made from heavy, warm wool. It was engineered for foresters and became a favourite of the U.S. Forest Service, generations of sportsmen, and anyone who enjoys being outdoors. This new cotton variation extends the Cruiser’s useful comfort range into the shoulder seasons. It serves equally well as a chore coat, work jacket, or everyday utility coat. It is garment-dyed and prewashed for a broken-in feel from the first day.
